This years charitable donation from AURES UK was to the local charity Runcorn and District Foodbank who provide help to people in crisis in Runcorn and the surrounding areas.
Runcorn and District Foodbank has 7 different locations and works on a referral voucher scheme. At this time of year foodbanks across the country are busy due to the growing number of people who need them. AURES UK felt this years that a donation to the charity would be more appropriate than gifts and cards and so a number of the Runcorn head office team went along to the local Foodbank depot and delivered a little Christmas cheer with over 200 sweet treats and over 270 canvas shopping bags.
Foodbank Manager, Colin Keiley said “We very much appreciated the donation from AURES UK, particularly the canvas shopping bags. Christmas is a busy time of year for us and plastic carrier bags run out quick, and after a while they become tatty and unusable. The bags which were donated will be able to be used by our customers over and over again, it’s a great help.”
UK Sales Director, Tamara Haslam said “We were thrilled to help out this years and we look forward to being able to support the charity again in the future.”
Runcorn and District Foodbank said “We want to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry, but we need your help to make this happen. Your gift of financial support, time, business partnership and food can make a real difference.”
