The smart food service solution developped by 24 in partnership with MCR Systems and AURES is shortlisted for three Retail Systems Awards !
AURES Ninos power the self-service kiosks and run the smart MCR payments technology that is the backbone of 24’s micromarkets, now in 80 locations in the UK. The solution has been shortlisted for Retail Systems ‘Instore Innovation of the Year’, ‘Retail Innovation of the Year’ and ‘Card & Payments Solution of the Year’ Awards.
Spokesperson for the three companies, Jim Wilkinson, MCR Systems’ Business Development Director – Sports, Leisure & Hospitality, said: “It’s unusual to be a finalist for more than one category, and quite exceptional to be selected for three!
In each category we’ve been able to demonstrate the technical and commercial strength of a solution now proven in 80 locations.”
About the Retail Systems Awards
Now in their 11th year, the Retail Systems Awards recognise technology innovation and excellence within the retail sector. Winning entries come from retailers and technology suppliers who are leading the way in areas such as mobile, online, payments, in-store technology, loyalty and personalisation. This year’s winners will be announced at the Retail Systems Awards Gala Dinner & Ceremony on 3 November 2016 at the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair, London. The event was attended by over 400 guests in 2015 and this year is set to be bigger than ever.
About 24
24 is the first and only fully-operational micromarket business in the UK, filling the gap between traditional vending and a workplace restaurant. A micromarket is a small, self-contained, self-service store without an employee to monitor it. It’s housed within an organisation’s premises, providing on-the-spot foodservice.
A 24 rollout packs a range of over 300 products into a wall run of just five metres and goes far beyond vending. Fresh and nourishing cold and heat-to-eat meals take care of the traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner eating occasions. And a wide selection of drinks — including branded coffee — and snacks take care of every type of refreshment wish.
24 takes this concept further. Because it is unmanned and uses a self-checkout system, its micromarkets are open and ready to trade 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, this totally cash-free trading approach is only possible with the support of a robust and reliable card payment system.
